No, the comparison is not valid at all.

The Wii had no shaders, SD resolutions, and 2001 era performance.  That's a major difference.  You are looking at Project Cafe having the same shaders, the same resolutiosn and only a 1-2 year performance difference.  It's like PS2 to Xbox.  Not Wii to PS3.

But do you know the specs?I don't,neither do you so I just said that it depends what is the plan for Cafe.Do they plan to make it with DX 10 and a little more powerful than PS3 with controllers with HD touch screen for 299$-349$ price point or do they want to make the best performance possible for a console with controllers as it's rumored for 499$.

I believe expecting GPU more powerful from 2-3 year old PC GPU is nothing insane.Especialy that it will cost to produce around 50-60$.Sony said they won't invest 2bilion$ fo developing another CPU or GPU.They will just go to Intel and Nvidia and make deal with them.I think we can expect the BD(not nothing new) so the costs of the drive will be 30$ not 150$ like when PS3 started so I believe if they will be targeting 400-449$ target price point than 130$ CPU and 130$ GPU is resonable and now it's more than enough to produce GTX580 so think how it will change in 1,5-2 years from now.

You are still missing the point.  You said that is will be just like the Wii to PS3 all over again.  That's wrong even if Project Cafe is just as powerful as PS3 itself.  The simple fact that it will have modern shaders and the same output resolutiosn changes the entire game with publishers and developers.

It then becomes like the PC market where PC's range from high end to middle to low end yet games are still easily supported across all of them.   With the Wii, the architecture, fixed function TEV instead of modern shaders and SD resolution all kept developers from being able to use the same game assets across all 3 consoles.   This time, even if Project Cafe is only as powerful as the PS3, game code and assets can be shared across all consoles.

And by the way, Sony will still stick with IBM for the CPU.  They bought back the Cell manufacturing plant from Toshiba last year.  Would be silly to move to Intel when they can simply manufacturer their own upgraded Cell.
