1. Sony and MS will launch a year after Cafe. They won't give Nintendo more than one year on the market alone.
Neither of them will have a GTX 580 in their console. It's hot, expensive and sucks up almost as much power as a whole console should. Just like most of the really high-end GPUs nowadays. This isn't 2005 anymore and MS and Sony aren't building PC-size consoles with with a cooling system!
I'm expecting something like the ATI 6950 from MS or Sony. Their GPUs will be around that power.
2. Ever heard of the PS2? Least powerful console of its generatiion? cafe will be around that level and MS and Sony's consoles will be what Xbox and/or GC were to PS2. Cafe will have NO problem getting ports like this gen.
3. MS wasn't profitable on hardware from day one. Where did you hear that from? Sony have already released a statement saying they won't be putting out a massive profit loss like the PS3 and MS have been said to be eyeing a more profitable launch. You must be mad if you think either are looking for a repeat of this gen.
Also, Before PS3, Sony was never most powerful of the last generations and before Wii Nintendo was never the least powerful.
Nintendo doesn't have to be as powerful as consoles launching a year after it (That's crazy). They just have to be powerful enough, you know, like PS2 was.
1. They have their own exclusives. They can leave 3rd parties to cater to those gamers.
2. That makes no sense, so because 5 yr old consoles have a larger audience that a new console, it will be hard for 3rd parties to port games to it? All new consoles get ports.
Sony and MS WILL be more powerful than Cafe but not to the extent that PS360 were to Wii when Nintendo purposely held back on power for their strategy.
