What? Gamers did not flock to the CD drive, or to bells and whistles. Third parties flock to those, but gamers flock to games. That's always been the case. The PS1 had better games with more appeal. That was how they beat Nintendo twice in a row. The tables turned this gen, but Nintendo going back to bells and whistles is what alienated gamers two generations in a row.
So acting like they will flock to this system, when history shows the opposite reaction to bells and whistles (games still sold the HD systems, not the HD graphics) just shows the same ignorance of gaming history that Nintendo is showing.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
