If you're referring to multiplayer handheld-to-console connectivity, then congratulations, you've won the Patrick Star Award for Most Time Spent Living Under a Rock. Nintendo's been able to do that for years! In fact, they practically invented the term "connectivity". Furthermore, they still have the means to do that with the Wii and the 3DS. It simply hasn't been exploited yet.
But yeah, connectivity would be a very good thing for Nintendo to have in the 9th generation of gaming.
