No it is not an opinion. Let me walk you through it. Are there more keys on a keyboard than on a controller? Does that mean you just have LESS options with a controller, objectively?  Meanwhile what are the objective pros of a controller?

It objectively comes down to the fact that a controller gives you less options and less functionality and does not provide you with anything in return. That is a very basic definition of inferior right there.

P.S. Having a pause in game is extremely scrubbish in an action RPG, but I like your spin there.

Edit: The UI is also objectively shitty. If it take 3 clicks to get to any section of the UI, then there is something wrong with it (or it is designed for an inferior control mechanic, as is the case here). Or the inability to sort the inventory, seriously I had that shit back in the 90s. The UI in general is extremely, painfully consolified (meaning, shoehorned into a controller scheme, not a proper one). THe only thing that makes this a more of a PC game is the difficulty, some of the weak themes, and the ability to have a pretty different playthrough each time. There is almost no pampering for the scrubs.

I agree with you there, seems keyboard users were an afterthought. You can't even move quicksave (F5) out of the way if you want to use F1-F5 for the spells.

It would be nice if there was a way to speed up or skip all the meditation animations. It takes so long just to drink 1 frigging potion. At least a shortcut to skip directly to the potion screen.

More then 1 quick slot is definately needed. Putting items in pockets is not all that useful if you can only have 1 active pocket at the time... display them at the bottom of the screen with key assignments.

Loot and swing need a different button. When you're not standing in exactly the right spot (due to momentum carrying you a little too far) you swing your sword instead of looting, placing you even further away.

Same for space bar to roll and loot all. Even worse when the loot menu doesn't come up while you expect it and you roll away instead of looting.

Maybe they should play WoW for a bit to see how a pc interface should be done.

And wth are qte doing in an rpg. Just let me block and swing myself in fist fights.

I don't think the UI was consolified though, There is no way you can read all that small print from the couch. It is cumbersome and the slow scrolling text is extremely annoying. Full screen UI please, or make it fit. I don't want to wait 10 seconds to see what ingredients each formula I want to buy needs.

Mouse wheel support? Moving the bar scrolls through the actual selections too, not just themoving it up and down.

I also completely forot about how dumb fistfighting was. Hell I thought it was a little dumb in Witcher 1, but this one is even more hilariously bad.
