My family just purchased a 58" flat screen Sony Bravia along with a Wii.
After playing Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort along with playing No More Heroes, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Donkey Kong Country Returns at my little brother's house, I am wondering how in the hell did the Wii ever sell this many consoles in the first place?
There are no games for the Wii which could make me ever want to put my own money down for a Wii game.
Is there some golden grail Wii game out there which converts everyone instantly? Obviously, No More Heroes, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Donkey Kong Country Returns are not the ones.
As for the PS2, if I saw one for $50 today while in Wal-Mart, there are plenty of games I know and ones that I have not played from 2005 on that could keep me gaming for 200 hours.
Please stop these silly comparisons. There is a reason why Sony with the PS1 and PS2 outsold the NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube combined. Great games for everyone from the bluest of the blue ocean with Ratchet and Clank, Crash Bandicoot, Legacy of Kain, Parasite Eve, Chrono Cross, and on.
The PS2 in my book is the king no matter what the charts say. If I remember correctly was Sony with the PS2 in 2007/2008 still bundling their Blue Ocean games to get the cheap sell to the wifey? No, Sony had dignity and I respect them for that while the Wii is out on the street corner like the 64 year old grandma selling her poontang for Sunday night bingo money at Geraldine's house where bingo is played with dollars.
