Isn't that how WoW was? I don't think the RTS Warcraft games have much to do with the MMO other than characters and setting (sort of)...

Exactly.  Zelda has a really coold world, and the potential to capitalize on that is massive.  If a Zelda MMO came out, I'd probably just quit going to work and school, stop interacting with other people, etc.
