It doesn't work that way. I know this, because the same thing was insisted about the N64 and Gamecube (even I said it, but now I realize it was wishful thinking).
It's not about a bunch of games, but that the mainstream hits are more prominent than games that are not, no matter how much a non-mainstream game sells. Super Mario 64-style games sell, but compared to Classic Mario games, they are not mainstream. Ocarina and its follow ups sold well, but it's not a mainstream game when seen against the sales of the Wii Sports games.
And what two are being released this year, while the other two haven't been announced?
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
