Huh? Wii(2006) - Cafe(2012) = 6 years. PS2(2000) - PS3(2006) = 6 years. Both of their successors came out/will come out in the same amount of years. And while it is true that the PS3 was expensive, there were cheaper alternatives.
The Wii is going to see a much quicker drop in sales compared to the PS2 in the next few years. I doubt it will sell ~ 11 million in 2013, it's 7th year on the market, like the PS2 did in its 7th year. Nor do I see it having the staying power to be on the market for 5 years after the Cafe, like the PS2 was able to do.
