highwaystar is correct, it just shows the most recent users to update [probably any VGC page, but might just be the homepage]
Usually your own avatar will be first unless in the loading time someone elses profile got there first.... so if someone clicked on a page 1/10th of a second before I click the homepage then I will be the second profile shown [their page would load between when I click and when my page loads]
