The US federal government has no money. In has much less than no money as it is in the hole by trillions of dollars and gets over a trillion more in the whole every year. The majority of the US federal budget is waste and misuse of government. All government funding of arts programs has to be cut right now. There is no other option. thats what got us into this mess, people saying, oh its only several million, dont worry our debt is 14 trillion, thats nothing, people wont even notice. we have to cut everything

Actually no we dont have to cut everything, we need to get rid of the Bush Tax cuts, get rid of tax cuts for multi billion dollar corporations, and cut military spending. That would put us back to having a surplus like we had in the 90s. But the worst thing to do in a recession is cut spending, it just widens the hole.
