That segment with the boat auto-moving is essentially on-rails.
And most modern shooters are practically on-rails because they're not only completely linear in level design, they're also so directed, scripted, cinematic and cut-scened to the maximum, to the extent that the game plays pretty much by itself. You just hold a controller and push some buttons as an excuse for it to be called playing a game.
Playing Call of Duty, Uncharted or Gears of War is more like watching a movie than playing a game.
