Majora's Mask is absolutely a fantastic game and well-worth the attention, but it's quite true that Ocarina of Time is the pinnacle of gaming. The problem with Majora's Mask that is the very reason that Ocarina beats it is that far too much of the game is concentrated on side questing.
It has incredible, FANTASTIC side quests, but more than half of the game consists of them (and not in a "lolz, we're going to make you waste a shit ton of time doing the stupidest things possible to keep you playing our game" way, like so many PS360 titles with their achievements and trophies). Ocarina kept the focus on giving you more and more and more and more along the lines of a main quest.
If Nintendo could somehow merge the two together...
