Both controls. Motion controls just proved without any doubt they are here to stay, but it's also clear they didn't replace classic controls. Devs should choose the best controls for each game or offer users the choice whenever possible, sensible and feasible, without surrendering to any other pressures than their own judgment and their users' tastes.
Edit: thinking again about it, devs could be right if they accept and seek ergonomics experts advice, but not marketing people, choosing the best controls for a game or any other program is the former's, not the latter's job.
