While this IGN initiative doesn't show anything new to anyone who has built a PC in the last few years, it does serve a valuable purpose... to educate console-only gamers about the current cost of hardware required to surpass the HD consoles.
edit - although they also failed at buying the HD 4850 for the right price... But that just makes the cost even better, so they're not deceiving people in the wrong direction.
