IIRC there were plenty of MS supporters back then, not so much posting now. However, a lot of Nintendo fans were also lumped in with the MS ones as it seems if you say something anti-Sony it would automatically mean you are a MS supporter. Some may have moved on, but some still linger.
PS actually had more people back then than MS did and continues to today. They constantly trolled Xbox, especially RROD threads, and constantly praised every title as the next coming. Most still do today. Xbox had their share as well, trolling plenty of the XXXX is year of the PS threads and XXX game is going to sell millions, as well as creating the PS has no games thread. This is not exclusive to VgChartz, but many gaming sites.
As for the sales, most consumers do not care about the numbers that people argue here. All the systems have sold very well, and no amount of these loyalist arguments are going to change that. Some of these comments go beyond ridiculous and should just be ignored or reported.
