I played both ME1&2 on PC and I was blown away by the continuity of the story by using the game's most unique features, the saves exportation.
I played a red haired character, the bitchiest ruthless Specter of the galaxy, as a full Renegade ME1&2 run. ME2 is simpliest than ME1, especially in the inventory system. The exploration in ME2 is just very bad imho compared to ME1.
But in term of story, I found ME2 having far more depth, at least in your party sidestories. The suicide mission is pretty epic.
I second the ' try Dragon Age Origin' move.... BUT I would much rather advice you to try The Witcher if you haven't already.
