You're greatly exaggerating their 360 support. The only exclusives Square Enix gave the 360 were Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant. Both of which were deemed mediocre by the critics and had little chance of being a hit on any platform. Star Ocean: The Last Hope was only a timed exclusive and could become the best selling game in the series thanks to multiplat sales. The only big support Square Enix gave the 360 in recent time was making FFXIII multiplat. Which is primarily due to 360's great sales in the west, it was an easy port, and I believe MS requested it. Their Wii support wasn't great. But Wii hasn't done particularly well at moving JRPGs either. Square Enix has given PSP and DS a ton of support. Go check out all the games they've gotten over the years. So implying 360 was a bigger priority is just utter bullshit. |
Please read the bolded. I never claimed that over the whole gen, SE had supported the 360 more than the DS, but they were doing for a while.
The Wii has not done well at moving JRPGs because it has not had any big JRPGs released.
