"If I'm to say EVERYTHING about Other M sucked, I'd have to claim those other games I mentioned above were also bad for the same reasons." Um, we aren't claiming everything sucked. Try some of Data Design's games. "people made the same complaints about Samus in Metroid Fusion, but now claim that game is 'good'." Um, what makes you think those are the same people? Plenty of people still thought the game was good back then, and plenty don't think it's that good now (I personally think it was good but falls short of greatness, and that hasn't changed from when I first played it). |
I will admit a lot of my comments were genralizations. But can you blame me, when people are not just stopping at saying Samus was ruined, but trying to defend their opinion by saying every part of Other M sucked. And not even letting up for anything. Even when they are forced to see that Other M used the same enemies, bosses and locations as Super Metroid, a lot of these haters make up excuses to why the ENTIRE gameplay and design sucked. Its like the opposite of Prime, where people claim the games were perfect in every way. The most pure example of extreme love or hate reactions to things.
And like I keep saying, the majority of them made the exact same arguments against Metroid Fusion even up to a year ago. Its only been since the release of Other M that people stopped focusing on how Fusion 'ruined' the series and instead focus on Other M. What's next? Are they going to jump on the next Metroid and claim Other M was 'an alright game'?
Also, what makes me think they are the same people is because more than a few of them have admited it.
