No, we won't. Even if it does, it would be a slow crawl, still making it clear it didn't have legs, and it won't magically change the fact that it didn't make the series more popular, but make Samus a laughing stock.

I sti lthink everyone is confusing what 'legs' is.

But aside from that, its been well established that the majority of Metroid games sell between 1.25 and 1.5 Million units.  The only games to break this trend is the original and Prime 1 which sold over 2 million.  Its pretty safe to say this series has a set fanbase and sales.  Other M will most likely reach that 1.25-1.5 million golden mean by the end of the Wii life cycle.  Though probably closer to 1.25 million.

Your argument fails there, because you are assuming our point is something other than it is.

You';re still overlooking the very important point he, and I, have brought up a dozen times.  Metroid Other M is a game 'trying' to be mainstream.  Its story resembled that of games like MGS, Resident Evil or even God of War with overacting, exessive drama not tied to gameplay and ridiculous situations.  I understand your argument, but really it comes down to you saying her character was ruined, based on your opinion.  I'm not going to say Samus was handled well in Other M.  I wish she would have been handled in a different way as well.  But again, its just our opinion.  If I'm to say EVERYTHING about Other M sucked, I'd have to claim those other games I mentioned above were also bad for the same reasons.  And its quite obvious Samus' character, as well as the whole game itself, was trying to be a 'mainstream blockbuster' title on the same level of those I previously mentioned.

Again, shortened so I can repeat it, the majority of arguments against Other M are subjective and based on what people thought her character was.  And repeating it for the 5th or 6th time, people made the same complaints about Samus in Metroid Fusion, but now claim that game is 'good'.
