The 1 week delay has not a nothing to do with the PSN issues and everything to do with using the grand international stage of E3 as the launching pad. Keep this in mind. I've been told by Nintendo that the 3DS and Project Cafe will have some form of interface capabilities. We already know that Nintendo will unveil Project Cafe at their E3 Media Conference. Now we learn that they plan to unleash the big firmware update on the exact same day as their E3 Media Conference. You do the math. PSN casue the delay, Nintendo just slow or a brilliant usage of the biggest stage in video games to announce and show the communication capabilities between 3DS and Project Cafe? |
Well Nintendo delaying to E3 is sort of odd. You would have thought Nintendo would have made the delay announcement at the same time as their press conference date announcement. Though I think E3 is definatly a strategic decision I still think the PSN outing might have influenced the delay!
Notice I said influence and not caused. But your right I should have added the E3 issue into the poll. However I was more asking if people think Nintendo was infleunced by the PSN crash and not really a poll asking people why their was a delay.
My bad, Viper do you think Nintendo has been upgrading its security on 3DS Shop since the PSN crash? I'm sure Nintendo has noticed and it is probably causing Nintendo to upgrade its security. I assume from your response that you don't think it is playing any role in the delay, but do you think Nintendo's upping the anti on its security now that PSN crashed?
