I've known about this for a year almost, along with the coming wiiware port of descent 2...
for someone who posts on videogame forums regularly I figured you'd be more in the loop...
Either way, I get most of my wiiware news from Nintendo Life since they have a policy of covering and reviewing every single game that comes to the service, even the ones that are garbage.
MDK2 just came out on Monday so they should have a review of it up shortly unless they are waiting for it to come to Europe first (many of their reviewers are european). If you don't want to wait, I spoke to someone on the forums over there who said it was definitely fun after playing for a couple hours.
There is also a video comparison that Nintendo World Report did on youtube between the DC version and WiiWare version.
Hell, I'll just hotlink it here (keep in mind the original had 1 GB of space to work with vs. 40 MB on WiiWare)
