It's happening in small numbers in the US, but It's a case by case basis. Two of my co-workers have bought games for the 360 instead of the PS3 because of the online service being down, and one of them is dumping their PS3.

If Sony can get the online working in the next week I think they'll be fine, but if this continues till May 31st or behond Sony is going to be in trouble. I can see MS taking jabs at Sony at E3 saying "Well at least we're online!".

I am being sarcastic.

This is a huge blow to Sony in my opinion... People are creatures of habit. And if they go out of habit of using PSN, and just briefly switch to Xbox live...stats on human behaviour indicate that a good portion of them won't be coming back to PSN.
