Meh, this just looks like Sonic 4 and Sonic Unleashed glued together, I didn't like either one of those games.
No matter how many times the fans complain, SEGA keep sticking to the same crappy formula and think they are doing something right. The gameplay is poor, the 2D Sonic is so cumbersome, you have barely any control. The game doesn't require any thought either, it just flows, running in a straight line, I wouldn't be surprised if when I dropped the controller it played itself.
The 3D Sonic is just the same, cumbersome and you have barely any control. It's just a rush through the level in a straight line.
The best 2D Sonic game is Sonic 3 and Knuckles, the best 3D Sonic game is Sonic Adventure 2. SEGA need to get the fluidity, difficulty, physics and controls right before I will ever like Sonic again. These two games were the best of the best when it came to platformers in my opinion.
