So, I think it will be similar, but I have to account for two variables. First, it's a Rockstar game that has significant hype, second, it doesn't have "exclusivity-hype"
I'm thinking the first will overcome the latter.
Also, there might be cross contamination from multiple console owners, that is partially offset by existing fanbase for the type of game on ps3. However, I would venture that Alan Wake is a similar game as well, and that currently sits at 1M.
However, the last R* game, red dead, sits at 900k first week ps3, and 1.15M first week 360
My official prediction will be these numbers doubled, minus... oh, say, 15%.
So, for PS3 first week: 900k
and for 360, I'm going to say for shits and giggles 890k, because of the gamestyle
Lifetime is a little hard to predict because, well, where exaclty should that end?
I'm going to go for a 10 week prediction of:
PS3: 1.8M
360: 1.6M
I think, after 5 years, it will probably be somewhere in the area of 4M for each.
