How do I know that most Tales fans don't own an XBOX 360? Simple. The XBOX 360 is an American console and caters to a Western audience. The PS3 is a Japanese console that caters to all audiences. Most XBOX 360 owners just want to play Call of Duty and Halo online, that is the console's main audience, teenage kids who want to play online shooters. Just because you own an XBOX 360 and you enjoy Tales of Vesperia doesn't mean every single other XBOX 360 owner is the same. Like I said before, not only do the vast majority of XBOX 360 have no interest in the game, they have no respect for it either, and that's what pisses me off the most. The sales of JRPG's speak for themselves. If you take a JRPG that hasn't had any of this timed exclusive or exclusive content bullshit and compare the sales, the PS3 would have a decent advantage in the West and the Japanese sales would bump the lead even higher. The only reason the XBOX 360 has a small Tales fanbase is because they were forced to buy an XBOX 360 when ToV was released as an exclusive. And what makes you think I am saying that Tales series will only sell on SONY consoles? I mean ANY console. As you said, Symphonia sold the most and that was a Gamecube exclusive. The point I am trying to get across is that the XBOX 360 is the least JRPG friendly console on the market, mainly because it is the only successful console made in America. It would be a bad business decision for Namco to release Tales of Graces on the XBOX 360 in the west. Playstation 3 is a no brainer because the game has already been coded to the PS3 in the Japanese release. The Wii would probably be a good platform to put it on aswell, Namco only need to port the content and there is a huge market for JRPG's on the the Wii. |
Wow i get a warning for saying people ill still buy late exclusive but you say 360 owners have no respect for jrpgs. Your pissed off because you think 360 owners have no respect for jrpgs well theres plenty of people that i know personally who have plenty of jrpgs on the 360 and plenty of people on this site who have jrpgs for the 360 will you say that they dont respect the game i mean they bought it. and what makes a console jrpg friendly? the 360 is less friendldy to jrpg's because it is an american console um no if that was the case it wouldnt have as many of them as it does. tales fans werent forced to do anything and they obviously have a bigger fan base than they do on sony consoles as vesperia is the best selling console tales in ameica besides symphonia.
