Ugh only on the PS3.  Games I tend to get on the PS3, which aren't many, don't seem to get played haha.  Probably won't even buy it knowing that truth about me.  Was kinda secretly hoping it would also be ported to the 360 but damnit.  Glad to see Tales getting some western love, but looks like I won't be enjoying it initially.

So if it's PS3 exclusive you won't buy it, but if it's on the XBOX 360 aswell, then you will buy it, despite owning both consoles.

Where is the logic in that? You are going to boycott a great game out of brand loyalty?

I personally don't want to see another Tales game anywhere near the XBOX 360. The majority of XBOX 360 owners have no interest in or respect for the Tales franchise or the JRPG genre as a whole, hence the low sales and review scores. That's what irritated me when I was playing Tales of Vesperia, it was a great game but what the hell was it doing on the XBOX 360? It's for that reason we will probably never see the huge amounts of extra content in the JAP PS3 version of the game on either console, Namco will just lose faith in Western audiences.

Um vesperia got low scores cause it was on 360/ i think not. and jrpgs sell pretty well on the 360 in comparison to the ps3 lost odyssey sold fine so did the last remnant and infinite undiscovery and according to vgchartz vesperia did 500k and there was an article a ways back were one of the developers said they would like to sell 500,000 copies.  You seem pretty loyal yourself to the ps3 saying those things about the 360.

I was using the low scores as an example as to why JRPG developers lose faith in the west, because "professional" reviewers give the games low scores, should have phrased that better.

And XBOX 360 JRPG sales are mediocre, hence the reason why when the paid exclusive deal runs out, they normally make an upgraded PS3 version just a year later. The reason why I am pissed is because a lot of these upgraded PS3 version never see the light of day in the West, because of the example of poor sales set by the XBOX 360.

And I'm not "loyal to the PS3", I'm just pissed off because I can't speak Japanese and I am missing out on a lot of great games and content. Not to mention I get sick to death when people complain about JRPG's not being on the XBOX 360. All three consoles target different audiences, I can assure you the XBOX 360 audience has next to no interest in JRPG's. Why should Namco spend tonnes of time and money on porting the game to another platform when it won't even sell, just for the sake of a few people complaining because the last installment was on there system.

LG's little injuction failed you know, PS3's didn't dissapear from store shelves overnight. I splashed out on both systems to enjoy the exclusives they have to offer. Tales won't sell on the XBOX 360, in the same way Gears wouldn't sell one PS3.

Don't think that I'm a fanboy who wants every game to be exclusive to PS3, like I said above, every system has its audience. I think that Bulletstorm and Mass Effect should have stayed exclusive to PS3, because they sold poorly and it only delays the games for other platforms.

I dont think your loyal to the ps3 thats just how you sounded. And the 360 audience has plenty of interest in rpgs if you compare jrpg sales from last gen to this gen no ounting final fantasy and dragon quest you will see there actually pretty similar or a bit better this gen. According to vgchartz Tales of vesperia has done over 500k on the 360 which star ocean on the ps3 hasnt done but it has been done on the 360. Saying 360 owners dont like jrpgs is not right at all i have plenty of friends who own 360's and love rpgs. Go compare jrpg sales of the 360 to the ps3 its not a big difference. And the 360 targets multiple genres just like the wii and ps3. I personally dislike when people say the 360 only has fps it doesnt I have over 15 rpgs for the 360 and only 2 fps games that i kept.

Star Ocean is one year late port.

So far only jRPGs which sales weren't damaged by Microsoft shitty timed exclusive deals are Resonance of Fate and FF XIII. FF XIII has tons of factors stacking it in PS3 favour so let's ignore it.

Resonance of fate on X360 sold 2/3 of what PS3 version of Resonance of Fate sold in the West and if we include Japan number PS3 version sold twice as much.

Okay what about lost odyssey and blue dragon both of which sold over 800k and are exclusive Also infinite undiscovery and the last remnant sold pretty well maybe not meeting expectations but they did fine. That whole year late port is getting old ifpeople want it they would have got it. and if your gonna use that logic why should namco give ps3 owners vesperia it will only sell bad because its a late port in your eyes right? Also look at ps3 jrpg exclusives like the last rebellion, Ar tonelico 3, trinity universe. hyper dimension neptunia, none of them have managed to do over 100k in america but the 360 has lower selling jrpgs that have cracked better milestones. Microsoft did those timed exclusives to help them in japan and it may not have worked but it helped more than their strategy with the original xbox and it gave 360 owners some good games It wasnt a shitty deal sony does those types of deals as well.
