Except A never stopped working. Making mainstream games is A, and that had not stopped being a successful tactic. Making quirky games just to please themselves and reviewers is B, and that has never worked.

And just because you have evidence doesn't mean a company is somehow smarter. The US auto industry has suffered crashes twice in the past 50 years because they refused to stop doing what wasn't working.

But how to execute plan A changes. They couldn't just release another Wii Sports type game and have the same effect. They'd have to do something different and I suppose they ran out of ideas, so they're probably going to try to gain a hold on the PS3/360 market if they can.

 

It's not the worst plan they could come  up with. That is, unless they sell Project Cafe for $600 US without any games. Hopefully the 3DS launch was just a hiccup and not what they intend for Project Cafe!
