Honestly Nintendo, you did a great job marketing the Wii and the Nintendo DS. Not so much right now but Nintendo themselves did a far better job then I think any third party marketing firm could do. Infact Reggie is a marketing expert if Nintendo can't handle marketing their own devices then I can't see any third parties being more successful.

I also note Iwata mentions marketing 3DS. According to Reggie the lack of marketing was done purposely to keep demand from out pacing supply. It will be interesting to see what Nintendo does this winter when supply out does demand on a global scale.

I also read the recent article where Iwata talks about how Nintendo can't support their platforms with enough software on their own anymore. He then talks about what happened with Brawl. I wonder if this means Nintendo will out source more of its IP's to third parties to raise the amount of Nintendo published software hitting shelves.

Imagine if Nintendo brought in another 5-7 developers and liscensed them Nintendo properties. Nintendo software would eat MS and Sony alive. Its Nintendo's properties that everyone buys Nintendo platforms for and if those titles are availible in abundance they will no doubt damage the competition!
