No it wouldn't be Nintendo's fault, but when has that stopped third party ire at Nintendo? Junction Point got hit with layoffs, which some speculate Epic Mickey's performance as the cause, though that's unsubstantiated http://www.gamespot.com/wii/adventure/disneyepicmickey/news.html?sid=6286881 |
LOL if we are going to use that old argument again we might as well abandon logic all together
On a superficial level it's a bit of a stretch going from layoffs at JP to Disney being mad at Nintendo, don't you think? It's equally a stretch to blame all third parties uniformly for their efforts (or lack thereof) on Wii. I would like to hope that brand-recognition on a consumer level is more developed than just "Nintendo" and "Not Nintendo" as far as perception of quality goes... Other wise things are bad indeed.
Regarding your link, I have no idea who was fired there or for what reason, but going by reviews of EM alone, I'd say it's possible their level of talent is not quite balanced as a studio... which to me sounds like a good reason to shuffle them around a bit. Even if you go as far as saying they were "punished" by EM sales (which makes little sense) I still don't see how that translates to hate toward Nintendo. Saying "3rd parties are stupid" shouldn't be used as a serious argument in these kinds of discussions.
Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!
