Is Nintendo putting too much faith in the third party?

If he really said that, Iwata is full of shit. The only question would be if he was lying, or just incompetent. I choose to believe that something got horribly mangled in translation.

This is the quote I was referring to. It's not that it's a bad idea to do this. It's just to early to do this kind of think when system sales already aren't where they need to be or where they want them to be.
