Packaged media total sales seem to be down most weeks... I wonder how much of this is down to Netflix. I mean, online services are certainly powerful... enough to bring down Blockbuster, at least.

Im sure some of it is.  Last year the decrease in Rental and Sales for package media was down $1m from the previous year and Digital Distribution increased $0.4m.  So I am sure that some of the decrease is because of places like Netflix.

Not to be "that guy", but the figures were in billions, not millions.

That table did highlight a few things to me, though... I didn't realize, for one, that DD was already higher than BD... of course, with the rates of growth, BD will exceed DD, maybe even this year... but, this is clearly a case of the hare and the tortoise.

Well this guy should have been able to read his own source, so thanks for the correction

Well DD was always higher than Blu-ray,  since it been available as an option for much longer. Without any actual numbers if I were to guess I would say Blu-ray has passed up DD. But I am sure numbers will be available sometime soon
