I'm not against the idea of trying to establish mass market franchises. But I also don't support the notion that a company should rid itselves of "hardcore" games either. It's all about balancing between the two.
I'm basically stating the obvious, but the OP doesn't seem to care about catering to everyone's tastes. Seriously, the minute games become all about trying to hit widespread appeal (and in turn limiting the creativity of a developer) is the minute I will quit gaming.
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!
