We don't have golden years of PS1 in this chart though. If I remember correctly Sony made more profit out of PS1 than PS2. (saw some charts on neogaf. Can't find them now). It's pretty bizarre though that Sony made so little profit from PS2 considering that over 150 million consoles have been sold with over 1.5 billion games. Maybe PS3 R&D cost hurt them more than we know.

Seece already confirmed that no single year (including PS1) from Sony has more than 1 billion in profit. See the last page.
