Just want to say that's very good Portal 2 on PS3 numbers.  I suspect this is the best performance by a developer previously seen as 360 centric (on console ignoring PC) arriving on PS3.

Valve did pretty much everything they could, from Gabe on stage eating humble pie, to free PC/Mac versions to making sure the title was extremely polished on PS3, and the results are clear.

Epic and others who stumble in this approach should really take note.  The ratio of sales for Portal 2 vs Bulletstorm is very illuminating in terms of what works best.

Amazing to see both 360 and PS3 doing so well.  360 showing better % growth due to tracking against pre-slim model and Kinect (not that the boost isn't good) and PS3 doing well despite being past its slim spike and back to normal organic growth.

Now let's see how PSN-gate affects things - if it does.  Still in two minds whether we'll see a hit in sales or not at this point.

so you mean dont trash the ps3 and its users when releasing a multiplat for it, and actually give them a reason or incentive to buy your game. making them think you actually put effort in that version.

ohh and dont release the same day as Killzone.

bulletstorm couldve been a million seller, if they werent idiots about it. they handles it terribly

Well... I was tyring to sugar coat it.  But not talking trash about exclusives on the other platform and generally behaving as if you actually want to harm your chances is what I was referring to indeed.

Bulletstorm on PS3 has I suspect the worst ratio of any multi FPS with 360.  Most sell okay on PS3 (more on 360) and Bulletstorm was glaring in how badly it sold.

Personally I just felt sorry for the People Can Fly Guys.  They made a fun game then the company that purchased them more or less scuppered its chances on PS3 (and didn't really push it well on 360 IMHO).

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
