Metroid: Other M - The Black Sheep....or so we thought

I too enjoyed Other M, but even I can't deny the game underperformed.

In Japan it might be considered a success relative to the Prime games. In the states it has done reasonably well, but in Europe I wouldn't call it anything less than a bomb.

It's true that the negative hype all but drowned-out the big budget advertizing it got, and I also agree that the game will continue selling based on positive word-of-mouth by those who did enjoy it. It can still pass a million, but bear in mind that it is one of very few Nintendo first-party titles to see a massive price-cut across the board soon after release. Retailers like Amazon are regularly offering it for $30 or even $20 in order to drive sales, or for all I know to clear surplus stock.
