I could have sworn the last time I saw the game in stores, namely Wal-Mart and Gamestop, it was still the original launch prive of $49.99. However, it does seem to be going for $20.00 online.
I'm not in a position to correct you. But I don't think the game went to that price in the first month. I bought the game about 3-4 weeks after it launchend and it was still $50.
