Which controller setup is the best for PS3's FPS and TPS games?

Usually there doesn't really seem to be too much room for customization. Stick with the defaults and recognize the pattern that feels easiest to use. People seem to have different preferences, just like with PC, so you should just try out. Like I said, not much room for customization, usually just the same presets.
