As for 10 million, I didn't predict Gears 3 will sell 10 million. I only stated the question, will it reach 10 million. It's a possibility as Gears 3 pre-orders are significantly higher then Call of Duty Black Ops and Halo Reach. Both Gears 1 and Gears 2 sold about 6 million units, and Gears 2 may end up with 7 million units lifetime. Assuming good press, reviews, and marketing, this means that Gears 3 could very likely break 8 million lifetime. I personally believe 8 million will happen, with an outside chance of 9 million. It won't be as big as Halo, but it might end up with lifetime sales figures close to GT5. Like you said, this is 360's biggest exclusive game, and with Infinity Ward all broken up, there might not be as impactful of a CoD title this year.

Well I say Gears 3 can make 8 million but no where near cod or even GT. GT5 can easliy drift pass 9 million and make 10 million. I expect a massive raise in EMEEA sales again once Sony reports how much GT5 sold like last time. As for Gears 3 I know this is one of the biggest games this year but don't expect it to get halo sales. As for UC how did it get 500k preoders WW? With EMEEA with only 300k sales first week don't think it made 500k. Anyways Uncharted 3 will be one of the best and biggest games of the year regarless.

If GT5 does 9 million, and Gears 3 does 8 million, how is that no where near GT5's sales? Yes some people think GT5 could pass 10 million sales, but if Gears 3 opens, and holds 1.5x as many sales as Gears 2, it will also break 10 million. An unlikely scenario for both titles (Except Gears 3 may open to 1.5x Gears 2, just not necessarily hold that ratio).

GT5 hasn't been tracking in the top 40 for quite some time, not even in EMEAA, and it's only selling half as well as GT4 on a weekly basis. You know after the holidays, GT5 sales have collapsed right?

Also Activision has publically stated that they don't expect this years CoD to be as big as Black Ops. Gears will most likely still not outsell it, not even the PS3 exclusive version, but it will still do well.

As for UC2, I said <500k pre-orders. < is a symbol for "less than." I was being conservative because I was too lazy to look up sales. I beleive it had a little under 200k pre-orders in Americas, so <500k pre-orders is accurate.

As for UC3, it could be the best selling PS3 exclusive after GT5, and that's still 5-6 million territory. It may also be one of the best rated games of 2011, and maybe even the best rated PS3 exclusive.

Man GOTY this year will be hard to vote. Uncharted 3, Gears 3, Mass Effect 3, Forza Motorsport 4, Elder Scrolls V, and Zelda are all likely to get scores of about 9.5/10. Plus L.A. Noire, InFamous 2, Rage, a rumored Halo, Resistance 3, Dues Ex, and maybe even an Assassin's Creed 3. Not to mention Killzone 3, LBP2, Portal 2, Crysis 2, Dead Space 2, and Marvel Vs. Capcom getting high reviews. I hope Mass Effect 3 wins, it will be funny to see a franchise of 3 games get 2 GOTY's.

oh sorry I read 500k not <500k. As for Gears 3 I think it will do 7-8 million while GT5 does 9-10 million. Gears will easily be the highest selling HD exclusive no problem. But Uncharted 3 won't be so far back. I agree with pretty much everything you say.
