I believe Nintendo made a one off consolidated loss for future currency loss, where as Sony deals with it Q by Q.
Also don't be so sure Sony will profit this Q, I made the same mistake this time last year thinking MS would surpass $1 bill for the year and they made a $120 loss for no seeable reason.
