No, they Wii shipped 1.36 ... not anywhere near 2.5 mill.

Wii doesn't just need to outsell the PS2 by a small pace to beat it .. dude do the math.

Wii has to sell another 64 million units just to catch up to PS2, and PS2 is shipping at least 5 million a year currently ...

It's not gonna happen, let it go.

Don't know were you get your figures, but I went and checked on the vgchartz section, HW analasis, HW table, then Wii, total regions, Jan 02/2011 to Mar 26/2011, and it reads exactly 2,453,422 sales, so unless I'm doing something wrong, not sure where you got that from.

The maths? err not sure what you mean, but if the Wii sells, for example, 5 mill in a Q, and the PS2 3 mill, then every Q the Wii is catching up by 2 mill. Might take a long time, never said it wouldn't, but I'm not going to start predicting actual numbers here.

One last thing: the last line makes you sound so condescending.

You're new here so I'll forgive you for not knowing the difference between shipped and sold.

Nintendo SHIPPED (not sold) 1.36M units this past Q (Like I said before PS2 has never shipped below 1.5 M in a q in it's lifetime)

VGChartz has it at 2.5 mill sold but that's SOLD to consumers, it's also overtracked and will be adjusted down heavily in the coming days.

On to the next part, the only time Wii will ever be shipping over 5 million units in a Q again is xmas, and it only did 8.5 mill last xmas, which each consecutive xmas it'll get lower.

Sorry to sound condescending but I hate it when fans people have all the evidence and facts needed to make a conclusion, and come up with something the complete opposite to fit what they wish were going to happen.

You obviously don't know how sales work to be fair, so maybe I'm beating a dead horse.
