No matter whether you think Sony was in the right over the Geohotz fiasco, they royally screwed the pooch on this one.

And that is no one's fault but their own. They deserve every bit of bad press they're going to get over this.

This is all true, but try explaining that to the fanboys. One's favourite corporation can do no wrong, so scapegoats have to be found and messengers need to be shot. Clearly, everything bad that happens to Sony or everything bad that Sony does is the fault of TEH PIRATES, RRRRAAAGGGGEEE! Sony are absolved from all responsibility for their actions or lack thereof.

Do everyone a favor and stfu. You've probably been waiting for some time to make that statement, and once something finally happened, you pounced. People's credit card info has possibly been stolen.
