When one thinks of Sony Santa Monica the first thing that springs to mind is Kratos’ epic God of War adventures. It looks like the studio is taking a step away from that franchise, at least for the time being, with a couple of new job listings outing some interesting information.

Firstly the team are looking for someone who ideally has experience working with, developing or designing for a 1st and/or 3rd person shooter. They then cite that experience working with, developing or designing vehicle combat in a game is a plus point.

A second job listing states that experience in designing or contributing to the development of an “open world” game is a plus. By the sounds of it this new project is a massive leap from God of War.

Unless Kratos is going ‘street’.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
