- Well, Gears of War 3 launches in September, so if for that alone, it will have no impact on Uncharted 3. Nevermind that it's only on the 360. Resistance 3 also launches in September and if anything, would be crushed by Uncharted 3 if it were to launch anywhere near it. - Halo: CE Remake hasn't been confirmed, so that's useless to discuss at this point (not to mention, it's also only on the 360 and shouldn't affect Uncharted 3 in any meaningful way). - As I mentioned above, I don't see all those games set for Nov launching in Nov. I think ME3 & BF3 will get pushed to 2012, leaving ACIII, Skyrim, & Modern Warfare 3 (or some kind of CoD). - Some games may be affected, but the bigger ones probably won't be in any critical way (and believe it or not, Uncharted 3 IS one of the bigger ones). End of the day, yes I'm speculating, but I think the final picture won't be much different than my viewpoint. You're free to disgaree, but we'll keep talking in circles if this continues on. |
CGI is right. The only real competion Uncharted 3 has is Call of Duty and Assains creed. Though Uncharted 3 will most likely crush Asassins creed (360) it won't be anywhere near Call of duty. Skyrim, Forza 4 an battlefeild 3 (most likely delayed) will be minor threats but no big pushback in sales. Believe me the Uncharted and Call of duty crowd aren't really the same. People looking for quality will buy Uncharted 3 (as well as some casuals) and all casual games buy Call of duty (some hardcore as well) I think if Uncharted 3 gets some advertising it should hit 1-2-1.5 million LT. Reviews and plenty of marketing should get this game up to 2 million FW. It should sell around 6-6.5 million FW which is really good.
