It's now hit mainstream media, 2nd most looked at item on the bbc network (the biggest media network in the world).
That exposure will have some affect for sure. The amount of affect will be on how long it takes to sort out and stopping it from happening again. Over the next week there will be more reports about it. But if they fix it and the same thing happens again meaning they have to repeat the process it will have a massive affect on it.
If it is sorted out soon and does not happen again in the first day or two it will be forgotten by the vast majority of people and have zero affect at all on sales.
If however it turns out all our details and credit cards were taken i imagine the government will start getting involved. regardless of being hacked it will raise questions about how a company can give 70m peoples data away so easily. I think we will see a lot of that type of reporting in the next day or so.
