I'm kind of surprised but SEGA and High Voltage haven't emailed back to me yet. I thought I'd hear from them today for sure. Guess if they don't contact by tomorrow then I may take Conduit 2 back for a refund. If local multiplayer is broke, then I'm not keeping it. That's why I bought it for that night.
