Do I agree with them? no, I think they should have built the dev tools to make money off of Wii's massive userbase... especially knowing the 3DS was launching.

Third parties aren't exactly swimming in money right now (not in the current economy anyway), but even if they did, how is serving more customers ever a bad idea? If third parties have the nerve to run PR that insults the Wii audience, then it isn't farfetched that they really do think that way about the Wii (possibly even worse than they openly admit to).

yup the wii audience would not buy 3rd party games only nintendo franchises would sell so why would they bother keep making games for it if their losing money
