What I don't understand entirely is why this blatantly obvious behaviour is missed by so many people. If a game comes out that just blows my mind by how good it is, I'm going to automatically want more of it. So, if Nintendo releases such an awesome game, I'm going to look around for similar games, and since Nintendo doesn't make all the games, I will go buy 3rd party games which are similar. And tadaah! 3rd party games will sell more.
I mean, I know 3rd parties are doing this on purpose, but why do gamers believe this myth as well? Brainwashed? So many of them?
