I'm not so sure that these are still viable options for the Wii, long-term. They might each boost the system's sales in the short term, but long term a system needs new games to keep any serious momentum going, and the release schedule is becoming increasingly barren. Third parties have jumped ship completely by this point. Nintendo might not have any options to remedy that aside from starting afresh. I'm not happy about it, but I don't think they have any other options anymore.

True. It's too bad. I don't think Nintendo projected the success Wii would achieve. It seems to me that they did not have a long term plan from the beginning.
Well, just gotta have to wait 'til E3 and hear from Nintendo themselves and see what their plan looks like. It could be for the better.
