People will pay $350 if they think the system is worth it. For most people $350 is affordable, the question really is whether it is desireable enough at $350? In the end Nintendo will probably pack in just enough software and hardware so that the average user could buy the console and come home with the box and enjoy a satisfying experience.

At $350, gaming enthusiasts will buy it if it interests them. While Nintendo can keep Wii going for 'casuals' at its low price points. Then when PS4 and 720 come out, they lower the price to a more market appealing one.

At $350 they don't have to worry about the lower price point in the market because every Wii they sell for $149-200 provides a pretty compelling upgrade path to the NES 6 regardless. I don't think they need to lower the price, Sony and Microsoft seem to have no trouble selling $300 systems and their bundles aren't nearly as much added values as Nintendo's typically are.
